Sorry for the bit of down time, my server has been cranky because I have not spent any TLC time with her.

Ok screw it I'm hosting another LAN Party I need a group of guys to shoot and bunch of drinks to cheer me up! I will be starting it at 1pm and going till 3am as I have to get up on a semi-normal time that sunday. 1) Your computer with cables

2) TF2, CS:S pre-loaded!

3) a Six pack of soda.

4) 5 dollars for Pizza.

We will be playing other games but TF2 and CS:S are majors so please have them loaded and ready to rock. You can also bring your e-penis but we all know who will win if you do.  I'm going to attempt to see if the wife will allow me to purchase a new monitor so that I do not feel like a defuser with my VX922.

The address will go out the friday before as always and you will get a reminder email the monday before. Get ready LAN season is upon us!

I'm thinking of throwing another LAN here shortly but thanks to my cisco class my time is short each week, was thinking about the 1st week of December? Chime in if you like or dislike this idea. I thinking about it will make an official rulling at the end of the week.

Color me disappointed! I'm sure you all have heard this but no dedicated server support for MW2? Which means no mods, no user create content such as maps, skins etc. Basically they are moving the PC platform back to the early 90's, all for making the game more accessible to the masses.

First off it might be a good thing, well that is if you enjoy 8v8 games, or you enjoy one person every match having ZERO ping. Oh wait I was trying to support their idea without being sarcastic. The only thing I can think of that would make ANY sense is they are simply trying to curb piracy of their game. That and they are setting up a secure channel to push DLC on us. I personally can not wait for digital camo for my avatar's shoes for only 99 cents! Maybe horse Armor?

Now the problem with it is simple bandwidth, how many people have an upload speed greater than 768k? Not many, I'm paying top dollar to have a fat pipe because I play games and I need that bandwidth to play with silky smooth game play while the wife does her thing on the internet and it also helps with the LAN parties to keep those couple of guys that like to play combat arms while the rest of us play TF2 or CS:S or cod. Looking at COD4 i found out it is about 60 to 75 kps per person connected to a server playing, so doing the math I could host about 20-24 people on a server from my computer. Well, as long as the wife does not go on the internet as I do not have any kind of QoS going on in my router. (Maybe ChocolateMilk can help me on that front. ) Also if I ever get this game I'm always hosting my own server as I would hate to give someone else an advantage over myself, which in turn is what everyone else is going to think, so we will end up with a bunch of servers that all have one person in it.

Check out Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, what I described above is what is happening. So I don't know abut the rest of you but MA2 went from ZOMGWTFBBW FIRST DAY PURCHASE! To wait and see.

Also Bestbuy is hosting a live chat Next tuesday at 6pm Central with the CEO and also the community molester (erm manager) of Infinity Ward. I'm going to be there with bells on so hear how they lie and damage control this.
