Look like the next LAN is on June 27th! I'm still recovering from Powersgaming LAN over in Austin, but just to give a quick hint about how leet it was.. it was leet.

It was non-stop fun from friday night when I got there till Monday morning when I left! We played a badass CS:S tournament and my team Blue Bawls lost the first round by 1 point and then came back to dominate for the rest of the tournament. We played a bit of crysis wars which was ok, till we convinced everyone to try out TF2 which got the entire LAN hooked and an impromptu tournament going. I love me some Jarate! All this was to be had for 50 bucks.. not a bad deal. So if you missed it you must make time next year as it was worth it.

So I will start to advertise the LAN today between fixing up my clients messes at work so drop me a line if you want to come!

Completely off the topic of the website but cool anyhow. I'm not one to use my cell phone to sms people and surf the web and what (my razr is not the best for this stuff), but I was checking out a few sites and found this golden nugget of information. If you want to sms someone for free from your computer you have a few easy options.

First option is to email them! All you need to know is the carrier and then you just email them. Below are the email addresses just replace phonenumber with the correct number.

sprint - phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com
verizon - phonenumber@vtext.com
tmobile - phonenumber@tmomail.com
att - phonenumber@txt.att.net

The 2nd option is to just use AIM as you can message the phone number. Kinda cool if you use aim.

So I have been thinking about next months LAN and have narrowed the days down to one of two choices. Just for fun I'm going to let you, the general public, vote on which day the LAN will fall on.

First we got June 20th - On this day we had the The Battle of Chalons and the Battle of the Philippine Sea. Notable births are Errol Flynn, Audie Murphy who is the baddest motherfucker ever to be born and of course Bob Vila. Holidays on this day are West Virginia Day and International Surfing Day.

The second date is June 27th - On this day we had Battleship Potemkins Uprising, route 66 ceases to be a US Highway and the stonewall uprising in New York. Notable births are King Charles IX of France, Paul Von Mauser. holidays on this day are HIV Days in the US, and Mixed Race day in Brazil.

Hell just due to Audie Murphy the 20th looks better to me, but you guys figure it out. Post in the comments whichever has the most by next Monday becomes the date.
